In 2016 a team of volunteers restored Avro Vulcan XM603. The restoration took over 3,000 man hours and more than 500 litres of paint to achieve the result. I spent over 185 hours working on XM603 myself. The aim of the project was to replicate the condition which XM603 was in when it left the Avro factory at Woodford.

Vulcan XM603 is exhibited outside the Avro Heritage Museum on the site of what was Woodford Aerodrome in Cheshire. It first flew in 1963 and was brought back to Woodford in 1982.
