Mike has a passion for all forms of photography and shoots with professional Canon camera bodies and lenses. All of Mike's images are true representations of the scenes he witnessed and have not been digitally manipulated.

Mike has published his work through magazines and across the internet. He also sells his work worldwide through the international picture agency Alamy.

Shared Earth Photography is available for events and commissioned work. Images can also be purchased online as either prints or various forms of merchandise. Whatever the occasion, Mike is committed to producing high quality work and customer satisfaction through his conscientious approach and attention to detail.

Mike Batty is a freelance photographer who launched Shared Earth Photography in 2008. He is a member of the Bureau of Freelance Photographers and is passionate about capturing a wide variety of photographic subjects.

Mike shoots digitally, using professional Canon camera bodies and lenses to capture images which he has often previsualised before arriving on location. He maximises the potential of having both rural and urban environments on his doorstep by developing a portfolio which contains a broad range of subjects.

Mike has had a passion for wildlife and the outdoors since an early age and this is reflected in his photography. He has been capturing wildlife images for the past six years and has built up an extensive portfolio during this time. Mike strives to produce wildlife images which highlight the beauty and fragility of the natural world. In order to do this, he creates minimal disturbance on location and treats his subjects with the greatest respect.

Having started out mainly as a naturalist photographer, Mike now captures a wide variety of subjects from portraits to cityscapes. Mike is therefore available for various photographic jobs such as events, commissions, article writing, and print sales. Whatever the occasion, Mike prides himself on his attention to detail, conscientious attitude, and his dedication to meeting his clients' needs.
